Waterfall and Garden

With a new development being built behind the garden and some tired, unsafe areas the client wanted to update and improve with a new water feature, and secluded seating area.

This client needed to update two areas of their garden. Much of the side of the house that provided access to the rear garden was shaded and had become slippery and dangerous and additionally a new housing development behind now left a sunny corner exposed to new neighbours. The client wished for easy to maintain paving, and a sunny secluded space to sit that included a water feature and easy to maintain grasses and bulbs.

The rear design was adapted to remove the slippery paving and replace with an easier to maintain self-binding gravel. We then ensured an easy access path then curved down the garden to a new private and relaxing seating area enclosed by raised beds, horizontal fencing and a water fall. New and existing features were unified linking the new and old garden elements together including herringbone detail on the seating area paving and creating new spaces for existing statues.

"Nicole was the catalyst for this project, I never would have done it without her. She provided the right design inspiration and supported work with the contractors. Now I've got the seclusion I want whilst sitting and enjoying the sound of the waterfall." - Roy
